Novatech is growing, and the organizational structure of its IT management has evolved. The time has come to split the responsibilities of the IT Manager between two positions. With a view to accelerating the company’s digital transformation project, the current IT Manager will assume the duties of the new position of IT Manager, Digital Transformation, and the new hire will bolster and complement operational IT leadership by holding the position of IT Manager, Operations, Infrastructure and Security.

Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the IT Manager, Operations, Infrastructure and Security, will play an essential role within the organization’s leadership team.

 

The challenges the position offers 

As a member of the group’s leadership team and co-leader of the IT team, the IT Manager, Operations, Infrastructure and Security, will be required to plan, organize and manage all activities ensuring IT operational excellence, including equipment performance, infrastructure management, user support, IT security and cybersecurity.

The successful applicant will effectively manage human (team of approximately 10 professionals and consultants), financial, material and information resources for which he or she is responsible. In addition to sitting on the corporate steering committee, he or she will participate actively in the creation and development of the company’s strategic plan, management plan and IT decision-making.

He or she will be required to collaborate with the Manager, Digital Transformation, to ensure the effectiveness of the IT department’s new organizational structure and the progressive sharing of management responsibilities within the department. In addition, he or she will support the execution of projects necessary for the implementation of the digital transformation plan throughout the organization.

 

What we are looking for

  • Specialized degree in IT or a combination of relevant training and work experience
  • Minimum of 10 to 15 years’ experience in an IT leadership role, 5 of which as team manager
  • Relevant infrastructure management and user support experience
  • Interest in and concern for IT security and cybersecurity
  • Comfortable working with a highly collaborative team and transversally with an organization that cares about its employees
  • Eager to share knowledge and experience, as well as motivated to become involved in the company’s growth and transformation project
  • Experience in guiding continuous improvement and implementing best IT practices
  • Employee development and coaching are reflexive for you
  • Strong general planning and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize, manage deadlines and lead several projects simultaneously
  • Client-centric management style
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written
