What is Les Produits du Québec?
Les Produits du Québec is an independent organization that promotes goods designed or manufactured in Québec. Its mission is to encourage local purchasing by making product origins more transparent for consumers.
What certification does Novatech hold?
Our Fabriqué au Québec (Made in Quebec) certified products meet strict eligibility criteria. This certification confirms that the product’s last substantial transformation took place here, in our Quebec facilities.
This transformation changes the nature or function of the product and gives it its essential characteristics.
Every certified product must go through a rigorous evaluation process including detailed documentation: technical data sheets, manufacturing flowcharts, photos, and written descriptions.
What does "substantial transformation" mean?
Substantial transformation is central to the certification process. It refers to a manufacturing step that changes the nature, function, or essential characteristics of a product — and must take place in Quebec.
For example, molding a plastic component or machining a metal part qualifies as substantial transformation. Simply assembling parts made elsewhere does not.
Why choose a certified product?
Choosing a certified product means making sure it’s genuinely made here. It’s a concrete way to support the local economy and value Canadian know-how.
Before a product can bear the official certification mark, Les Produits du Québec independently verifies each submission. Companies must submit a detailed file with proof of production, fabrication methods, labour distribution, and more.
It’s a serious, transparent, and trusted process.

Why do some of our products say “Manufactured in Québec” or “Manufactured in Canada”?
The Manufactured in Québec and Manufactured in Canada marks both refer to products certified by the Les Produits du Québec organization.
To make this certification clearer for Canadian consumers outside Québec, Novatech created a complementary logo, based on the same rigorous standards — confirming that these products are truly made here, not just assembled.
It’s our way of proudly sharing the same message across the country: high-quality products, responsibly manufactured at home.
