North American leader, specialized for more than 40 years in the manufacturing of door and window components, with more than 1400 employees, is looking for a resource to fill the position of assistant production planner for its steel door manufacturing plant in Ste-Julie. 

Being an assistant production planner at Novatech means being the control tower for manufacturing operations by planning production needs, ensuring that products are manufactured in an optimal order and ensuring good communications between customer service, production teams and procurement, under the supervision of the production coordinator.

Your main responsibilities

  • Assist the Production Coordinator in planning the work, in accordance with the deadlines and priorities established by the production plan;
  • Participate in the launch of standard and non-standard production orders while optimizing lead times;
  • Assist the production planners in several administrative tasks of entering information into the appropriate software;
  • Place orders into production on the laser cutting schedule;
  • Maintain physical inventories of major raw materials (wood, steel);
  • When required, get involved in continuous improvement projects;
  • Any other tasks required by his superior;

What we are looking for :

  • A degree in industrial engineering, industrial management or a related discipline (an asset);
  • Have relevant experience in a manufacturing company (an asset);
  • Demonstrate autonomy and initiative;
  • Demonstrate good judgment, good organizational skills and know how to manage priorities;
  • Bilingual English and French spoken and written (an asset)
