Reporting to the General Manager, your main role will be to manage the maintenance team and improve the performance indicators related to quality at our Anjou plant. You will be responsible for managing the maintenance of equipment and the building. You will supervise a maintenance team and ensure the planning and follow-up of our Anjou plant. You will also be in charge of various projects to improve productivity, equipment reliability and the work environment. You will work on the realization of projects. The terms efficiency and robotics will be part of your vocabulary for the next few years. You will be part of a large multidisciplinary team motivated to make a difference in the market. 

 

The challenges we offer you.

  • Supervise and coach the electromechanics team, the maintenance planner and the building maintenance manager;
  • Within budget, ensure the proper functioning of all production equipment, the forklifts and the management of the building and subcontractors;
  • Participate in the implementation of the preventive maintenance system;
  • Maintain rigorous preventive maintenance;
  • Manage non-conformances and integrate new manufacturing and administrative processes to the quality systems
  • Follow up on performance Quality indicators;
  • Implement a replacement parts management system;
  • Propose and manage health and safety projects with the objective of having zero accidents in collaboration with the health and safety manager;
  • Propose and manage various efficiency and productivity improvement projects by actively participating in the corporate continuous improvement program (SAGE program);
  • Work on cost reduction projects (new raw material, reduction of production waste, etc.)
  • Participate in daily production meetings.
  • Support supervisors in problem solving;
  • Actively participate in the development and production of new products, with the R&D team;

 

The profile we are looking for :

  • At least 5 years of relevant supervisory experience in the manufacturing sector;
  • A relevant college diploma and 5 years of experience in glazing manufacturing
  • Good knowledge of continuous improvement approaches and tools - Six Sigma and Lean concept (asset);
  • Knowledge of health and safety and quality (ISO 9001)
  • Bilingual
  • Good analytical skills and demonstrate initiative, leadership and autonomy
  • Mastery of the MS Office environment.
