Laurier Architectural, a division of Novatech Canada, is currently seeking a Quality Control Coordinator for its commercial glass manufacturing plant located in Laurier Station. Under the supervision of the Quality Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for quality control and continuous improvement.

 

Your challenges

• Support and optimize processes related to the requirements of the quality management system and product certifications,
• Coordinate and support efforts to implement and monitor standard operating practices, manufacturing procedures and work instructions related to the achievement of objectives;
• Analyze production data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement;
• Ensure the management of supplier, internal or customer non-conformances and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions;
• Work in collaboration with employees to ensure the quality of our finished products and to carry out projects in order to achieve business objectives;
• Ensure daily follow-up and intervene on deviations concerning quality performance indicators, including the performance of internal audits;
• Participate in the evaluation and recommend solutions to improve the operational efficiency of the site;
• Identify and analyze impacts, conduct field tests and evaluate results;
• Assist and advise responsible managers in problem solving and actively support continuous improvement processes.

 

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering or other related field
• 5 years experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of quality insurance (ISO 9001), PDCA
• Knowledge of continuous improvement and problem solving methodologies (e.g. DMAIC, 8D, A3, Pareto) and Lean concept
• Be a facilitator in the follow-up and improvement of procedures and instructions
• Master MS Office suite (Word and Excel)
• French and English speaking
• Be available to travel occasionally (Canada and USA clients)
